First Entry

Dear Journal (and World)

This is my first entry. I have at various times in my life attempted to keep a journal. This is my first attempt to create an online trail of my life. I hope over time, that you will learn to know who I am and what I'm about.

I will make a couple of assumptions right from the beginning. The first is that you care. I figure you wouldn't take the time to read this if you didn't care. The second is that there is some civility out there. I am one of the most laid back people you may ever talk to. You are entitled to your opinion and so am I. Email me if you want to, but keep it civil.

Now that the qualifiers are out of the way, I will talk a little about myself. Wait, this is my new blog. There will be a lot about me. The first thing you may need to know is that I am gay. I don't change pronouns. I am who I am. The second thing you should know is that I am 32 years old. Anyway, on to the juicy stuff.

I have met someone. His name is Chris. He's 26 and so far, a really fantastic guy. I have known him for about a week. Is it too soon to commit? I don't think so. I have gotten some feedback from some friends who, merely out of concern have mentioned something to that effect. I don't think so and here's why. Basically the bottom line is that we have spent a lot of time talking. When you meet someone and everything matches what you are looking for, I don't see any reason to hold back who you are. Especially if he is on the same page and willing to commit to you. Chris happens to be on that page with me. What if he has lied to me or worse, I have lied to him? Well, I would say, "The things you have told me are not matching up to your actions, so this is not working out for me." End of story. I'm not chained to him. It would definitely be too soon for that.

Anyway, I don't want to get all serious and deep. That is definitely not my personality. I am a very fun loving guy. I can't wait to see what happens with Chris. Obviously, meeting someone and busting to talk about it (along with the rest of my life) and signing up for a new blog is not coincidental. I hope that the journy my life takes me on is fun for you to read about. I know that I have a lot of fun and people I know talk about me a lot. So hopefully, I can give you a taste of my midwest lifestyle.

I will do my level best to post an update at least a couple times a week. And, if what I just saw is true, I can upload pictures. WOO HOO. This is gonna be fun....
