We had our first football game in the newly remodeled Nippert Stadium at the University today. The band did really well. I wasn’t sure how it would go, but we pulled it off. The football team lost; the score was Cincinnati 9 Miami of Ohio 22. We have a record now of 0-4.

I will be going to church tomorrow at a church I know nothing about. I think its of the American Baptist type. I’ll have to find out with the difference is between that and independent Baptist. I’m not sure it will really make that big of a difference.

I got three letters yesterday. My mom, Grandma Wolf, and Aunt Debbie sent me something. It was so nice to get mail. I need to write all of them back, but I probably won’t do it tonight. Besides, my mom will be calling shortly.

My classes aren’t too bad, but I’ve only been to each twice. English will be tough this year because all we are doing is writing. I don’t write well. History might be tough because all the tests are essay. Once again, I don’t write well. I still need to clean my half of the room and study a little before Monday morning. I think the studying will come tomorrow afternoon.

What a flurry of activity my life has been lately. I moved to Cincinnati on Tuesday, September 17. Band camp has been so intense. I’m quite frankly surprised that I actually have time to sit down and write. I don’t think I’ve ever worked as hard at marching band as what I have been since Tuesday. My mom and/or dad will be coming down tomorrow to take my car back home. Classes start next Wednesday. I bought two books yesterday. They cost $100. I still have two more books and two workbooks to buy. All together I will have spent around $220-$240.

I’m really excited about going down to Cincinnati. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go Saturday as planned, or if I will have to wait until early next week. I hope I can go on Saturday. I received my room assignment late last week. I will be staying in room 711 in Calhoun Hall. This means my address for this year will be

I went out tonight with a waitress from Tyler’s named Delilah Paseos. She is a beautiful Filipino girl. She is moving out to California in the middle of next month. It will be a shame to lose her. Of course, I’ll be gone first, but her smiling face will be sorely missed.
