Time Flies

when youre having fun, eh? No, I'm not Canadian, but sometimes a good "eh" is necessary. Dana and I went to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and it was wonderful. I picked her up, took her flowers, we went to lunch, and then the show. It was just like a real date. Almost like back when I was straight.

Dana, Sherri, Chris, and I are supposed to be going to Chicago on Thursday, but Dana and Sherri can't go. Dana has to look after her dogs, and Sherri's parents are coming into town on that day. Chris and I will decide later if we want to go alone, or if we're going to do something else. Either way, it will be the first time since we started dating that we have had a day off work together.

You know, he's turning into someone really special to me. I have always had delusions of grandeur. I know what I want in a relationship with someone, and I don't think anyone should settle. Most of all, me. I haven't had to really change anything since I've met Chris, which means he has accepted me for who I am. My friends are really important to me, and he has met and likes them, too. That says a lot.

I sent a "Christmas e-mail" to my family and close friends about a week ago. You hear all the time how you never know how much time you have. Since that has really had an impact on me over the last couple weeks, I decided to take the time to let these folks know what they mean to me. I have had a lot of feedback on it from them, most of them saying, "You made me cry." While that was not my intention, it's nice to know that I am surrounded by people who still feel some emotion. It basically told me they feel the same way.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year. I have some friends who don't celebrate it for various reasons. Oddly, some are religious reasons, but others just don't get it. I don't knock anyone for their feelings or beliefs, but it would be cool if they could learn to see past the commercialization of Christmas, and understand what it really is all about. The birth of Jesus is the central event of Christmas, but additionally to me, it's a great time to be with family and those you love. And mending fences during this time is not a bad idea.

Well, I should probably get ready for work. Things happen on a daily basis, but I find I have less time to write than I thought. I will try to do better and keep more current.

It's December

Well, it's December 1. Where did this year go? It's really not funny that the years go by faster as you get older. I'm sure that a year is just as long now as it was when I was 10, but it sure doesn't feel like it. There's just not enough time to get anything done. That's it. That's the extent of my philosophy.

I have mentioned to a few of my friends that I am keeping an online journal. Some have been upset that I haven't mentioned them yet. So here's a (white) shout out to Dana, Sherri, Bryan, and Greg. Are you guys happy now?

Dana, Sherri, Chris and I are going to Chicago in a couple weeks. It's a 6 hour drive, and we're going up and back in a day. Some people think were crazy, but it's the crazy things that make life fun. Chris has never been, and I want to see the City at Christmastime. Of course we have to take the girls so someone can drive. :) (Probably me)

Friday, Dana and I are going to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Not at Radio City. It's the traveling show. I'm sure it'll be Spectacular, but it would be nice to see the real thing someday. I've seen it in New York, but I wish I could pack everyone up with me and go again.
