Do I Ever Stay Home?

My brother, Tim was here Monday night and it was a great time. The last time he spent the night at my house was 1992. He was 13. He and Nate, my youngest brother, came down to go to a UC basketball game with me. That was a good time too. He was down here Monday night because he was going to observe the Ohio Supreme Court on Tuesday morning. He's a government teacher and had an opportunity to observe the court in action, so he took it. I met him and the people who brought him to Columbus for dinner and then wasn't really sure what to do after that. He said, "I have a 3-month-old baby, and 4 and 5 year old girls. I don't get to go out much, so let's do it." We ended up meeting Dana, Jon, and her parents and had a great time. We got home around 2am. Kinda made it hard to get up the next morning, but we did. I got him downtown on time, and everything was good. The Supreme Court will make their ruling in three months. I wish I had that much time to make a decision.

This week seemed to be unusually long. I think it's because we were so busy at work. Last night was a pretty good night, tho. I went with Dana and Jon to see "Wild Hogs." It's a pretty funny movie. Of course, Dana loved it because "Oh my GOD! It's John Travolta!" After the movie I went out with someone I talked to last weekend online. What? Me, online? I know, it's hard to believe, but I do dally in a chatroom from time to time. Robb ended up being a really nice guy. We got to talk a little bit, but it would be nice to hang out again sometime. We'll see if he calls again tho. I was thinking today about last night, and there were certain things I probably shouldn't have said. Like, maybe you don't tell someone the first time you meet them that you have a DV charge on your record? But then I realized, I gotta be me. This is who I am. I'm not gonna shy away from something because you might not like it. In my defense, at least you get a lot of information up front. I think informed decisions are the best ones, right? If he doesn't call, it was a good time. If he does, maybe I will make a new friend.

Im going out again tonight with Dana & Co. Surprised? Not if you've read more than one of these entries. I think they were meeting around 7:00 and since it's almost 7:30, I should probably get off my butt and get cleaned up. Have fun, and be safe!
